Ask Senate Appropriations to Save Shared Micromobility in California

On August 11, the California Senate Appropriations Committee is voting on a bill that threatens the future of shared micromobility systems across the state. Assembly Bill 371 would require micromobility operators to assume liability for damage and injury caused through no fault of their own. The insurance requirement for this additional regulation would make it very difficult for many shared micromobility systems to continue operating. This will cut off millions of Californians from healthy, clean and equitable transportation options.
